Zach's Mission

Hey guys!! First off, yes it's true, 6 months in the mission! It's been fast and slow, but when I really think about it it feels like maybe it's been 3 months in total, so I guess that's a good thing. Still have a long ways to go but it's been good and hopefully just keeps getting better! ALSO! IF YOU HAVENT EMAILED ME, NOW IS THE PERFECT TIME TO GIVE ME AN UPDATE WITH PICTURES AND STUFF. Just saying😁 This week was pretty good, lots of ups and downs. I had the chance to be with 3 different elders throughout the week, and being with all of them was so fun! Elder Ortiz and Elder Smith for a few hours, and Elder Williams for 24 and overnight! It was so fun to talk to them and have a little change of pace! Quick little stuff: -OK Lego fortnite?? Hey everyone! To start off, Belize is no longer a part of my mission. I'm pretty bummed, but it makes sense, they are building a temple that is close to Belize in Coban Guatemala and so now it is part of that mission. 10 missionaries stayed in Belize and are now a part of the Coban mission, but one of them is Elder Taylor from the Mexico Training Center. I'm pretty bummed about the situation overall, but I know God has a plan and I am meant to spend my whole 2 years in El Salvador!!! Quick highlights: -saw a guy poop in a plastic bag -thought I was going to be in a trio for a second, but the other 14 Belize missionaries that came back to the country got split into normal 2 person pairs in new areas. I only thought I might be in a trio because the housing secretary asked if I had an extra closet. He faked us out fr -Messi was here this week! Hey guys!! Hope everyone is doing really well!! Nothing crazy in the past few days so this will be quick: -transfers! I stayed in my area but picked up my son! We did a training meeting, a service project, and a big dinner with all the trainers. Then at night we stayed the night at the secretaries house. Super fun! -My comp is Elder Barrios! He is from Guatemala and he is pretty shy but he is nice and obedient and I think we will work well together! -we went to Papa John's to talk about our goals and stuff and it was cool. I really liked it a lot it was super fun! Also NFL was playing so that was cool hahaha -ok now the dream. Had a dream where someone asked me if I knew spanish yet in spanish and I responded in spanish. It was dope. Another thing that has been cool this week is seeing that I am being helped here in the mission. Hey guys. It's true, I am indeed going to train a new missionary this transfer!! In missionary terms when you train a new missionary, that missionary is your "kid", so I will be a "dad" it's pretty funny. Kind of wild!! I will meet him on Friday and I really hope he is a latino!! If not it will be spanish struggle time out here. It is sad because it means sayiing bye to Elder Lorenzo, he was a great comp. Hey everyone!!! Happy 2024!!! Wow so much happened this year, and a lot of it was here in the mission!! Crazy that this starts my only full Calender year as a missionary!! Not much really happened this week so it's going to be a little short: -we showed up to a lesson with this lady and she started playing "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John and dancing when we got there. She's like 70😅 -was with one of the ZL's this week for a few hours, that was pretty fun! He goes home in like 10 days which is pretty crazy! -guys there is like nothing else this week was so normal hahaha As I was thinking last night as the clock changed to 12, I was thinking about all the stuff I've done the past year. One of the things that has really changed for me is my faith. I definitely have a lot more trust in God's plan now than I did last year, which has helped me a lot!
