Zach's Mission

HELLO EVERYONE!! Hope everyone is doing well, we have some big news...I AM 1 MONTH OLD!!! Crazy to think that I have already been out here for that long. I feel like I have been a missionary for so so long but also no time at all. I ALSO GOT MY FLIGHT PLANS! I fly to Panama City at 5:50 in the morning(😭) on September 7th and then fly to El Salvador later that day. Crazy stuff. Less than 2 weeks left in Mexico🤯 In other important news, my spanish teacher Hermano Hernandez got a girlfriend. He was telling us about how Olivia Rodrigo used to make him sad because he would think about his ex, but now not so much. We asked him if he had a girlfriend and he said he did. We were all confused because we had already asked him, and he hit us with one of the coldest bars of all time: "you asked me last week😏." We all freaked out of course. HELLO EVERYONE Not anything crazy special this week other than a ton of little stories, so here we go: We found out there is indeed Taco Bell in El Salvador🤑🤑🤑 I am pretty hype about that because I love me some Taco Bell. Me and the other two Elders going to El Salvador in my district are already talking about our plans of going once we get to the field. This one guy in my district named every single one of his ties and assigned them powerups and abilities. It is actually so funny. I'll attach a picture down below but let me tell you, this dude is one of the funniest guys I've ever met. His one liners are just absolutely unmatched. HOLA TODOS I have been enjoying my first week and a half or so of being a missionary!! Online training was honestly not the most glamorous, but it was a nice transition into living here in Mexico City!! I flew from Bloomington to Atlanta where I met up with some other missionaries, then we flew to Mexico City! At the airport we picked up a few more missionaries and we headed in a van to the CCM! It is right in the middle of Mexico City which I wasn't expecting, but there are these huge walls with barbed wire fences on the top, like 3 layers of gates, and security all around the entire place so I feel pretty safe. My first day or so was a little bit rough just because of the transition from being home to being away again, and our schedule was a little bit crazy, but as the days have gone by I have gotten into a rhythm and I am feeling much better.
