MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

First I want to start by talking about Christmas a little bit. Obviously Christmas is a very fun time of the year, with music, food, vacations, and family time. All of that is great, but as I have been here on my mission in the absence of a lot of those things, I have been able to really focus on the purpose of Christmas, Jesus Christ. As I have been able to focus on this season and attempt to bring the light of Christ to the people here in El Salvador, I have grown closer to my Savior and have gained a larger appreciation for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Now onto some weekly update stuff🎅:
-we had our ward Christmas party!! It was super fun with lots of singing and food, it was great!
-we had an absolute miracle this week! A self referral from Facebook who we had been trying to get in contact with finally answered us, and after just 2 lessons he is going to get baptised on January 6th!! We were also on a visit with a 15 year old thinking about if he wanted to go on a mission or not, so what a great first experience with the missionaries for him! We have been praying to find someone who wanted to really listen to us and this is such a blessing that we finally got to meet with Oscar!!
-we had the mission Christmas party!! Ir was so fun! First all the missionaries (minus the Belize ones) came to the chapel at 9am to get rabies shots because apparently the dogs in Central America are getting too friendly, and Sister Breinholt gave me my shots cause it was taking too long only 1 person doing it, so she just started grabbing needles and giving them. No idea if she knows how, but it was fast and didn't hurt so she's kinda tough for that😤 but after the shots we had a talent show! Almost all the missionaries participated in groups, and we solved rubics cubes. I say solved but I totally cheated because I can't solve one HAHA but still our talents were shown. It was pretty funny and some other missionaries had some pretty funny sketches and songs they did, there will be a few videos in the Google Photos😆 then we had a message from President and Sister Breinholt, then ate lunch, played bingo, chatted with friends, and went back home! It was sad to say bye to some of my really good friends from the mission who are going home January 11th, but I'm so glad I got to meet them. The mission definitely has introduced to me lifelong friends that I am so so greatful for!
-I finished the Book of Mormon again!! Everyone read that book it's🔥 seriously so true guys
-saw a guy with a pet squirrel, harness and everything🐿
-heard "Last Christmas" a handful of times this week, tender mercy🙏
-we got to do some pretty fun stuff yesterday for Christmas Eve, we went to church then had a lunch with all the missionaries in my district, visited members with the other missionaries here in the ward, and then we got to stay up until 12:30am and sleep in until 9am this morning. Merry Christmas to us, first time I haven't waken up at 6:30 am in a loooooong time😅

Honestly, Christmas time is hard on the mission. It is super easy to want to be home with my family and friends, listening to Christmas Music around the tree with blankets and the cold, but I have really realized just how much I love Christmas time just for the fun stuff! You realize just how much you love stuff when you don't have it, so everyone out there for Christmas/the holiday season don't take it for granted!! ALSO PLEASE EMAIL ME!!! Guys, it's Christmas, please please please email me!! I would love to hear from you guys!!! Really!! Love you all so much and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!🎄🎅🌟

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a good Christmas and that you'll enjoy New Years!  Christmas Eve and Christmas were pretty fun! We got to stay out late and ate a lot of food and also sang lots of Christmas Carols so it was pretty fun honestly! We went to a kind of far away part of our area the other day and we got to play soccer with these kids which was pretty fun. We also saw these like 5 random super little puppies which was pretty cute We had a musical number in sacrament where all of the missionaries sang and a family and Investigator of the church played instruments! It was really fun Yesterday it was raining so hard, the streets just completely flooded and we got soaked but our shoes were actually just filled with water it was a little bit uncomfortable hahaha but it was pretty funny I hope everyone has a good New Years!! Friday, September 1, 2023 - Mason Ramsey in Mexico City💯👀 (EMOTIONAL)

Hey peeps, Things here are starting to get a little more repetitive, but it's ok because my next email that will be sent will be from EL SALVADOR!!! I have about 5 days here left and then I'm off to the actual mission field!! I'm nervous but so so so excited to get going! To close out the Hunger Games at the CCM, we had determined that whoever in our district got picked to speak in church this past week would become Peeta, but sadly no one from our district got picked🤧 or so we THOUGHT. SURPRISE SECOND ROUND REAPING ELDER HALL IS OUR PEETA🦅 There are some Elders here who are going to serve in this rural place in Guatemala and they have to learn this language called xiatchi or something? I don't even know how to spell it, but one of the three bore their testimony in the language and the other said a closing prayer!! Super super cool stuff! Makes me glad I'm just learning spanish😅 We started doing only Spanish classes this week instead of a spiritual class in the m...

Monday, February 3, 2025 - Return of the King

Hey everybody! Hope you are all doing well! This week was pretty solid, I'll get into it We had our english class as usual which was pretty fun on Wednesday I went to Santa Tecla for this mission leadership meeting (that I usually don't go to) so that was really fun to go and be back in Merliot and stay the night at my old house where I lived for 7 months, especially because all of my old housemates are still there so that was pretty cool. I also got to see a lot of mission friends which is always fun Other than that we got stranded in Versalles for a sec which was a little stressful, we resorted to hitchhiking because there was no bus but that is what happens I guess. We did eventually get home though A guy that me and Elder LaMarr talked to in the street got baptised yesterday which was super cool! He lives in another area but it was still cool to see that!
