Monday, May 20. 2024 - First few in Merliot

Hey guys!!

First off to clarify some confusion, I didn't actually get transferred to Scranton, I was just moved to the mission office here in San Salvador! My new area is Merliot and I am still in the country, I was just making a "The Office" joke!

The first few days here have been pretty fun! My first day I went with one of my new companions Elder Bromley around the mission to pick up all of the people who have transfers, then we went to the office and did some work, and it was pretty fun! We also welcomed all of the new missionaries in and went to the training meeting which was pretty cool.

The new house that I am living in is a current 5 man house, and it is sooooo much fun! It has been awesome getting to know the other guys!

We also had zone council, and we went to this corndog place after which was pretty fun. I also saw a guy with an orange and Grey Ironmen football shirt this week...I don't really know how that got here. But I saw it and I think somehow some Normal Community merch dropped down in El Salvador. 

Pday here is also pretty fun because there are so many people who like basketball, but a lot of the people are super good and I haven't played in 6 weeks, so I'm going to need to get on that grind over the next few weeks. I am rusty and need to shape up for sure so I can be like game 7 Anthony Edwards🐺

I really enjoyed church this week too, it was really fun to go and hear some good talks and meet some of the members here!!

We helped this family at their pupusa shop yesterday afternoon too! It was super fun! We were packing salsas and curtido in the bags, it was pretty fun!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a good Christmas and that you'll enjoy New Years!  Christmas Eve and Christmas were pretty fun! We got to stay out late and ate a lot of food and also sang lots of Christmas Carols so it was pretty fun honestly! We went to a kind of far away part of our area the other day and we got to play soccer with these kids which was pretty fun. We also saw these like 5 random super little puppies which was pretty cute We had a musical number in sacrament where all of the missionaries sang and a family and Investigator of the church played instruments! It was really fun Yesterday it was raining so hard, the streets just completely flooded and we got soaked but our shoes were actually just filled with water it was a little bit uncomfortable hahaha but it was pretty funny I hope everyone has a good New Years!! Friday, September 1, 2023 - Mason Ramsey in Mexico City💯👀 (EMOTIONAL)

Hey peeps, Things here are starting to get a little more repetitive, but it's ok because my next email that will be sent will be from EL SALVADOR!!! I have about 5 days here left and then I'm off to the actual mission field!! I'm nervous but so so so excited to get going! To close out the Hunger Games at the CCM, we had determined that whoever in our district got picked to speak in church this past week would become Peeta, but sadly no one from our district got picked🤧 or so we THOUGHT. SURPRISE SECOND ROUND REAPING ELDER HALL IS OUR PEETA🦅 There are some Elders here who are going to serve in this rural place in Guatemala and they have to learn this language called xiatchi or something? I don't even know how to spell it, but one of the three bore their testimony in the language and the other said a closing prayer!! Super super cool stuff! Monday, February 3, 2025 - Return of the King

Hey everybody! Hope you are all doing well! This week was pretty solid, I'll get into it We had our english class as usual which was pretty fun on Wednesday I went to Santa Tecla for this mission leadership meeting (that I usually don't go to) so that was really fun to go and be back in Merliot and stay the night at my old house where I lived for 7 months, especially because all of my old housemates are still there so that was pretty cool. I also got to see a lot of mission friends which is always fun Other than that we got stranded in Versalles for a sec which was a little stressful, we resorted to hitchhiking because there was no bus but that is what happens I guess. We did eventually get home though A guy that me and Elder LaMarr talked to in the street got baptised yesterday which was super cool! He lives in another area but it was still cool to see that!
